Miles Aldridge in Florenze

Arriving for the first time in Italy is Miles Aldridge with a carefully-selected group of eighteen photographs as well as his drawings and sketches to pique our curiosity on his creative thought process. Miles Aldridge is a fashion photographer, but his images go way beyond this and include vividly-colored fine art works with an ironic, imaginary style that is somewhat erotic and diabolic comparable to the style of directors such as Lynch, Hitchcock or Bergman.
Miles Aldridge was born in London in 1964 where he lives and works and his photographs have been featured in publications such as Vogue Italia, Numero and The New York Times, and can be found in numerous private and public collections, including the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London. He has also published a number of books, the most recent being The Cabinet (2007), Acid Candy (2008) and Miles Aldridge: Pictures for Photographs (2009).
