The 8 Winners of Hearst Photography Biennal Competition

New York – Hearst Corporation today announced the winners of the third Hearst 8X10 Photography Biennial, an international competition that recognizes the work of eight up-and-coming artists. The winning photographs will be revealed at a gallery celebration at Hearst Tower on April 2. The 8 finalists are: Laura Morton, California; Michael Massaia, New Jersey; Jordan Baumgarten, Pennslyvania; Karen Miranda, New York; Tomasz Lazar, Poland; Al Palmer, U.K.; Kiana Hayeri, Canada; Caleb Cole, Massachusetts.

Eight distinguished judges reviewed the submissions and selected the award recipients: Roberta Myers, editor-in-chief, ELLE; Alexandra Kotur, creative director, Town & Country; John Demsey, photography collector and group president, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc.; Matthew Pillsbury, photographer; Timothy White, photographer; Yancey Richardson, owner and founder, Yancey Richardson Gallery; James Danzinger, owner and founder, The James Danzinger Gallery; and Yossi Milo, owner and founder, Yossi Milo Gallery.
